How Fulham could line up against Manchester City

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash between Manchester City and Fulham, Sports Mole looks at how the Cottagers could line up against the champions.

After a difficult start to life back in the Premier League, Fulham began to find their feet in the top flight before the international break.

Next up comes the division's biggest test, though, with Slavisa Jokanovic's side taking on champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Cottagers have only picked up one point from their two away games so far this season, and they will be heavy underdogs this weekend despite already proving that they are more than capable of scoring goals at this level.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Fulham could line up against the reigning champions.

Possible FUL XI vs. MNC
Out: Tim Ream (thigh), Neeskens Kebano (ankle), Tom Cairney (foot)
Doubtful: Floyd Ayite (fitness)

Fulham are still without captain Cairney in midfield for this match, but Jokanovic has no new injury concerns from the international break and could name an unchanged team from the draw with Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the league's joint top-scorer with four goals from as many games, while Andre Schurrle and Luciano Vietto should keep their places alongside him in attack.

Ryan Sessegnon may be forced to settle for a substitute role once again, then, while Joe Bryan could play second fiddle to Maxime Le Marchand too.

Alfie Mawson made his first start for the club at the Amex Stadium and should keep his place this week, and behind him Marcus Bettinelli will be eager to build on his maiden England call-up at club level.

Manchester United loanee Timothy Fosu-Mensah is likely to start against his parent club's rivals, while summer signings Jean Michael Seri and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa are also expected to retain their places.
