Sunday's La Liga predictions including Barcelona vs. Villarreal

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's La Liga action, including Barcelona vs. Villarreal.

Osasuna vs. Levante (Sunday, 11.00am)

Osasuna will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they continue their 2020-21 campaign at home to Levante this weekend.

Jagoba Arrasate's side will enter the match off the back of a 1-0 defeat at Getafe, while Levante have played just once in the league this season, suffering a 4-2 loss at Valencia on the opening weekend.

We say: Osasuna 2-1 Levante

Both teams will feel that they can cause issues in the final third of the field, and it should be an interesting match in Pamplona. We are not predicting too many goals at Estadio El Sadar but expect Osasuna to shade a tight match, moving onto six points in the table as a result.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Eibar vs. Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Both Eibar and Athletic Bilbao will be looking for their first wins of the 2020-21 La Liga season when the pair lock horns at Estadio Municipal de Ipurua on Sunday afternoon.

Eibar have picked up just one point from their first two league games of the campaign, while Athletic suffered a 2-0 defeat at Granada in their season opener on September 12.

We say: Eibar 1-2 Athletic Bilbao

Athletic are unbeaten in their last 12 matches with Eibar in all competitions, but the last three matches between these two sides have finished level. We are expecting another tight game on Sunday but fancy Athletic to pick up all three points courtesy of a 2-1 success.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Atletico vs. Granada (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be looking to make a winning start to their 2020-21 La Liga campaign when they welcome Granada to Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are yet to begin their league season due to their involvement in the latter stages of the Champions League, but Granada have played twice in La Liga this term, picking up six points to top the table.

We say: Atletico Madrid 2-1 Granada

Granada's start to the season has been excellent, but they are yet to face a team of Atletico's calibre. Simeone is sure to have his players fired up on the opening weekend of the season, and we fancy the capital outfit to shade a close encounter at Wanda Metropolitano.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Cadiz vs. Sevilla (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Sevilla will be looking to make a winning start to their 2020-21 La Liga campaign when they travel to newly-promoted Cadiz on Sunday night.

The Europa League winners were in UEFA Super Cup action on Thursday night, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, while Cadiz have played twice in the league this season, picking up three points.

We say: Cadiz 0-2 Sevilla

Cadiz will enter this match off the back of a positive result last weekend, but we are struggling to predict anything other than an away victory here. Sevilla have had less time to recover, but the clash with Bayern could actually help them in terms of this match, and we fancy a routine win for Lopetegui's side.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Real Valladolid vs. Celta Vigo (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Celta Vigo will be looking to continue their encouraging start to the 2020-21 season when they travel to Real Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday night.

Oscar Garcia's side have picked up four points from their two league games this term to sit fourth in the table, while Valladolid have managed just one point from their two fixtures thus far.

We say: Real Valladolid 1-1 Celta Vigo

As mentioned, three of the last four La Liga meetings between these two teams have finished level, and we are struggling to separate them this weekend. A point apiece would not be the worst outcome for either side, and we are not expecting too much drama at Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Barcelona vs. Villarreal (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Barcelona's 2020-21 La Liga campaign will begin at home to Villarreal on Sunday night, with new head coach Ronald Koeman preparing to lead the team into a new era.

The Catalan giants will be determined to make a positive start to their league season but face a tough examination by a Villarreal side that have already picked up four points in Spain's top flight this term.

We say: Barcelona 2-1 Villarreal

Villarreal have more minutes in their legs, which should help them at this stage of the season despite the quick turnaround from 2019-20. Barca's record against the Yellow Submarine is terrific, though, and we fancy Messi to be on the scoresheet in a narrow success for Koeman's side.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
