Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal welcome fellow top-four hopefuls Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta saw his side narrowly beaten 1-0 by his former employers Manchester City last weekend and were far from convincing in midweek either despite coming from behind to clinch a 2-1 triumph over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.

The Gunners will be relatively content with their performances so far this season, though, with their only defeats having come away to last term's top two.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of their latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's visit of Leicester.

Willian

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 25 (vs. Leicester)

Willian missed out on Thursday night after picking up a slight knock to his calf against Man City last weekend. The Brazilian will be assessed ahead of this match, but is expected to be available.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 25 (vs. Leicester)

Dani Ceballos was also missing on Thursday due to "slight ankle bruising" but, like Willian, is expected to be back in contention for Leicester's visit this weekend.

Rob Holding

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Leeds United)

Rob Holding was forced to pull out of last weekend's match against Man City in the warm-up after sustaining a hamstring injury. Arsenal have since confirmed that the defender is likely to be out for three weeks.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Pablo Mari is expected back in full training within the next 10 days and so a return to action is not far away, although he will need time to get back up to match fitness.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Arsenal have been handed a boost by Gabriel Martinelli's return to training ahead of schedule. The young striker has been sidelined for a considerable length of time with a knee injury and will need time to get back up to speed, but there is now hope that he may feature again before the end of the year.

Calum Chambers

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: October 25 (vs. Leicester)

After 10 months on the sidelines, Calum Chambers has finally now returned to full training and is "progressing well towards match fitness". This match is almost certain to come too soon for him, but he has now recovered from his knee injury and it is only a question of building up his fitness.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
