WAP on course for second week in number one slot

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' is on course for a second week as the UK's number one single, midweek sales data suggests.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' is on course to spend a second week on top of the UK singles chart, according to early data from the Official Charts Company.

The explicit track rose to the summit last week after two weeks in the number two slot and, based on the first 48 hours of sales, will stay there when the final chart is confirmed on Friday.

'Lighter', the Nathan Dawe collaboration with YouTuber turned rapper KSI, is up a place to a potential new high of two, while 'Looking For Me' from Paul Woodford, Diplo and Lomax is up five places to 12.

Other big risers in the midweeks include Jason Derulo's TikTok-friendly 'Take You Dancing', up seven places to eight; Miley Cyrus's 'Midnight Sky, currently tracking at 10; and Little Mix's 'Holiday', which rises to 13.

Former number one 'Head & Heart', from Joel Corry with MNEK on vocals, drops a further three places to five.
