The Wire actor Lance Reddick is discovered dead at his home at the age of 60.

The Wire star Lance Reddick has been discovered dead at his home at the age of 60.

The acclaimed actor was known for a string of roles, including the John Wick franchise, Fringe, Lost, Oz, Bosch and Angel Has Fallen.

According to TMZ, Riddick was found at his apartment in Studio City, Los Angeles at 9.30am local time (4.30pm UK) this morning.

The publication says: "His cause of death is currently unclear, but our law enforcement sources say it appears to be natural."

Reddick had been in the middle of a publicity tour for the fourth John Wick movie - due out March 24 - and had been scheduled to appear on Kelly Clarkson's talkshow next week, although he was not present at the film's New York premiere on Wednesday.

The star has already completed filming on a spinoff film, Ballerina, as well as roles in the upcoming comedy movie White Men Can't Jump and the Disney+ fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
