HBO announces that filming on the fourth season of Succession has begun in New York.

HBO has confirmed that filming on the 10-episode fourth season of Succession has begun in New York City.

The acclaimed drama stars Brian Cox as ruthless media mogul Logan Roy, with Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Alan Ruck playing his four ambitious and constantly-warring children.

Season three ended on a cliffhanger as Logan made the decision to sell his empire from under the noses of his kids - much to their distress.

In a teaser for season four, HBO said: "The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer.

"The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed.

"A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed."

The new season is expected to air at some point in 2023.
