Sky will release the Friends reunion episode on demand next Thursday morning, it is confirmed.

Sky has won the race to secure the UK and Irish rights to the highly-anticipated reunion episode of Friends.

The special episode will see the original six cast members - David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc - return to the set of the iconic comedy for an unscripted look back at their time making the show.

The reunion has been made for streaming service HBO Max in the US, and Sky's deal to show it in the UK will see it premiere on demand via Sky and Now TV at 8am next Thursday, May 27 - the exact same time as it is released Stateside.

The episode will then be shown on Sky One that evening at 8pm and again on Friday night at 9pm.

Sky has also revealed that Sky Q customers with a voice remote will be able to directly access the episode by saying one of 10 famous Friends catchphrases - including "We were on a break", "Miss Chanandler Bong" and "Smelly Cat" - into the remote.
