Olly Murs reveals that he has been axed as a judge on The Voice after seven series.

Olly Murs has revealed that he has been axed from his role as a judge on The Voice for the 2024 series.

The singer joined the panel in 2017 and has since served as a judge for seven series, including the upcoming edition, which has already been pre-recorded and will air next month.

However, Murs has now told The Sun that he has been informed by producers that he will not be part of the lineup in 2024.

"I'm gutted," he said. "I got the call last week to say I won't be back on the show, and it's a bit of a shock, to be honest. I didn't really expect that to come.

"But I don't want to sit here like other artists might, and shine and gloss this up and say, 'It was my decision'. I don't want to do that.

"I don't want to bullshit my fans or bullshit people who watch the show, and say, 'Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave - I've got lots of things on next year, I can't do it any more'.

"No. Genuinely, I accept their decision, and they'll find someone great, I'm sure. But am I going to miss it? Yeah.

"Did I want to leave? No. Will I still watch the show? Of course, but it'll be sore thinking that could have been me..."

Long-standing judges will.i.am and Tom Jones, as well as singer Anne-Marie, are expected to be back alongside a new fourth judge, while Murs will still be on promotional duties for the series that has yet to air.
