ITV announces new show Queens For The Night, which will see six male celebs get the ultimate drag queen makeover.

Lorraine Kelly will host a new special for ITV which will see a group of male celebrities transformed into drag queens for a unique one-off performance.

Called Queens For The Night, the show will pair up each of the celebs with their own drag mentor, who will guide them through the process of what it takes to be a queen.

Not only must the celebs undergo a transformation into a new alter-ego, they will also be required to hone a drag discipline such as lip synching, dancing, comedy, impressions or drag magic.

The judging panel - Courtney Act, Mel C, Rob Beckett and Layton Williams - will cast their eye over the performances and a live studio audience will ultimately be responsible for picking a winner.

The celebs taking on the challenge include Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson, EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt, England rugby star Joe Marler, Union J singer George Shelley, ex-Love Islander Chris Hughes and TV icon Mr Motivator, while the drag mentors will be Blu Hydrangea, Kitty Scott-Claus, La Voix, Myra DuBois, Asttina Mandela and Margo Marshall.

"I'm so excited to be hosting this show," said Kelly. "I am a huge fan of drag and can not wait to see a host of well known stars embrace this uniquely wonderful and uplifting skill.

"It's a show that will have humour, warmth and above all lots and lots of glamour, I can't wait to get started."

Queens For The Night will air on ITV later this year.
