ITVBe announces a new six-part documentary following Kelsey Parker, the widow of Tom Parker, as she comes to terms with her loss.

ITVBe has announced a new documentary series following Kelsey Parker, the widow of Tom Parker, in the months after his tragic death.

The Wanted singer died in March at the age of 33, having battled a brain tumour for the previous 18 months, leaving behind Kelsey and their two young children.

The six-part documentary, Kelsey Parker: Life After Tom, is being made by the team behind Kate Garraway's acclaimed programmes about her husband Derek Draper's devastating coronavirus battle.

In the show, cameras will follow her as she opens up on how her young family is coping with their loss, as well as exploring ways to deal with grief and meeting other young widows to talk about their own experiences.

Amanda Stavri, ITV's commissioning editor for reality, said: "Continuing our commitment to bring viewers real-life stories, we are privileged to have Kelsey bravely share her experience after the passing of her husband, Tom.

"Kelsey has allowed cameras into her home to follow her very own personal journey with grief, in the hope it helps others."

The show will air this year alongside another new commission, Giovanna Fletcher: Made In Italy, a six-part series following the author and her family on a food-filled journey around their homeland.
