ITV announces a one-off spectacular called Britain's Get Singing to air this Christmas.

ITV has announced a new one-off programme called Britain Get Singing to air this Christmas.

The show, which will be staged in support of the broadcaster's mental health campaign Britain Get Talking, will feature groups made up of stars from ITV's top programmes taking each other on in a studio-based sing-off.

The judging panel is comprised of The Voice UK's will.i.am, Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon and Starstruck duo Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight, while mental health advocate Roman Kemp will host.

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's head of entertainment commissioning, said: "Our viewers' favourite famous faces are ready to pull out all the stops in a bid to impress the audience and our stellar panel of judges.

"Britain Get Singing is sure to add some much-needed Christmas magic to screens later this year."

The 90-minute special will be filmed in Salford early next month and air on ITV over the festive period.
