Comedian Andrew Doyle to host Free Speech Nation on GB News
Comedian Andrew Doyle is to present a weekly show called Free Speech Nation on GB News.

Northern Irish comedian Andrew Doyle has joined the presenting lineup for new news channel GB News.

The Spiked columnist is known for his parody character Titania McGrath, who is described as "a militant vegan who thinks she is a better poet than William Shakespeare" and has more than 600,000 followers on Twitter.

Doyle will host a new weekly show on GB News, Free Speech Nation, which the channel says will be "a lively, light-hearted look at current affairs" and feature a variety of guests.

The news comes after GB News revealed that it has secured EPG number 236 on Freeview and YouView, meaning that it will launch at some point in the next 12 weeks.

Other confirmed presenters on the channel include Andrew Neil, Michelle Dewberry, Colin Brazier and Dan Wootton.
