The end-of-series trip is reportedly dropped from the new series of Celebs Go Dating due to coronavirus.

The traditional end-of-series trip has reportedly been axed from the new series of Celebs Go Dating due to coronavirus.

The new instalment of the dating show has been filmed over the last few months with cast members including Made In Chelsea's Miles Nazaire, TV legend Ulrika Jonsson, 5ive singer Abz Love and TOWIE's Pete Wicks.

Filming was recently suspended after one of the celebrities caught coronavirus and according to The Sun, COVID is also responsible for producers ditching the annual jaunt abroad, which has previously seen the cast visit locations such as The Maldives.

"It's a nightmare. Originally it was meant to be abroad but obviously that's too tricky right now," a source told the newspaper.

"Producers had planned a five night stay in Yorkshire for the celebs and their dates. But even that's had to be scaled down now and they're just having a dinner.

"It's not ideal as the end of the series trip really is a highlight but they're making the best of a bad situation and as always are prioritising health and safety."

The new series is expected to air on E4 in the new year.
