Strictly Come Dancing 'planning Caroline Flack tribute'

The late TV presenter Caroline Flack will reportedly be honoured in an upcoming retrospective episode of Strictly Come Dancing.

Strictly Come Dancing will reportedly pay tribute to former winner Caroline Flack in an upcoming retrospective show.

The Love Island presenter won the 2014 edition of the ballroom contest with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev, having scored an unprecedented perfect 120 from the judges in the final.

In February, at the age of 40, Flack took her own life while awaiting trial for alleged assault on her boyfriend - a charge that both of them had denied.

With this year's series of Strictly delayed until late October due to coronavirus, the BBC has commissioned four episodes looking back on the last 16 years of the show and will honour Flack during an episode called 'The Best of the Finals'.

"Caroline was loved by all on Strictly and was a hugely popular winner among the executives and the crew," a source told The Sun.

"She was a bundle of energy and they thought if they were going to look at some of the best finals ever it would be fitting to feature her in a big way. She's sorely missed by many, but particularly by her Strictly family."

Kovalev is expected to be among those paying tribute to Flack in the special segment.
