Kym Marsh delays Morning Live return after operation

Kym Marsh is forced to delay her return to Morning Live as she continues to recover from a hernia operation.

Kym Marsh missed a planned return to Morning Live on Monday following a hernia operation.

The BBC One magazine show returned for its second series on January 25 after a successful trial run at the end of 2020, but former Coronation Street actress Marsh missed the first week of shows as she recovered from the operation.

Marsh had been due to return on Monday but was still not well enough, with Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse drafted in at the last minute to co-host alongside Gethin Jones.

Appearing via video link on the show, Marsh said: "I am really surprised. There was more to it than we originally thought.

"I am someone who likes to get up and about and do things for myself. It's really difficult having to sit and do nothing, it's horrendous.

"One of the problems of having a hernia is it's really restrictive and stops you doing exercise you want to do.

"This is just killing me now. But I am listening to my body. You have to, it's important. I'll be there soon."

Marsh has previously revealed that she had been on the waiting list for an operation for almost year.
