Katie Price suggests that her protection dog Blade, who died last week, may have been "killed deliberately".

Katie Price has said that she is dealing with claims that her protection dog Blade may have been "killed deliberately".

Last week the 45-year-old revealed that Blade had died after being hit by a car on a road near her Sussex mansion, becoming her seventh pet to die in as many years.

In an update posted to social media, Price revealed that the incident has taken a potentially-disturbing twist, while also confirming that she has split from on-off fiancé Carl Woods.

She wrote: "Extensions out ready for new transformation literally had so much s**t thrown at me and being single now and now dealing with the suspicions my dog had been killed deliberately so being investigated I need a massive change and move in my life."

An online petition calling for Price to be banned from owning pets has now reached almost 35,000 signatures.
