Katie Price avoids prison time by reaching a last-minute agreement over her unpaid debts.

Katie Price has avoided potential time in prison after reaching a last-minute agreement over her unpaid debts.

The 43-year-old was declared bankrupt in 2019 and owes around £3.2 million to her creditors, which she had been supposed to pay off at a rate of £12,000 a month.

Price has allegedly been unable to meet those payments, however, and was due at the High Court today to learn the consequences - which could have included jail for contempt of court had she not shown.

According to The Sun, Price successfully reached agreement with the court to pay off a small amount of the money owed and submitted a new payment plan.

An email to creditors confirmed that the ex-glamour model had made "payments into the estate, made several new significant concessions, agreed increased co-operation and consented to continued suspension of discharge".

Price's case will be reviewed again in eight weeks.
