Katie Price says that she takes "full responsibility" after being involved in a car crash last month.

Katie Price has said that she takes "full responsibility" for the car crash last month that has left her facing potential jail time.

The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to driving while drunk and disqualified and also admitted to having taken cocaine before the crash, although that charge was not pursued by police.

Price subsequently entered The Priory for treatment of what her family described as mental health issues, although in recent days she has been seen back out and about in public.

A statement from her family given to The Mirror said: "Kate acknowledges and takes full responsibility for her actions. She knows they were wrong and apologises. Kate is deeply loved and she loves her family.

"We are all there for her right now – and her children, who she loves dearly, are giving her strength as a mum."

Price is due back in court in December for sentencing.
