'The Pledge', 'Apprentice' star Michelle Dewberry expecting first child

The Pledge panellist Michelle Dewberry reveals that she is expecting her first child at the age of 40.

The Pledge panellist Michelle Dewberry has revealed that she is expecting her first child.

The 40-year-old businesswoman has spoken extensively about wanting children on the Sky News show and has led debates on whether single women should be equally entitled to IVF treatment.

In a post on Facebook, Dewberry - winner of the second series of The Apprentice in 2006 - shared an image of a pregnancy scan and confirmed her happy news.

"Never being one to follow the easy route in life, trust me to be pregnant during a global pandemic!" she wrote.

"We're halfway through now...Bubba is happy, healthy, well and I'm pleased to report - totally oblivious to the toilet roll shortage going on in the outside world."

Like many TV productions, The Pledge is currently on hold due to the spread of coronavirus, which has claimed over 34,000 lives worldwide to date.
