Shawn Mendes explains bizarre slow walk with girlfriend Camila Cabello

Shawn Mendes admits that he and girlfriend Camila Cabello "looked like zombies" when they went on a slow walk in Miami earlier this year.

Shawn Mendes has admitted that he and girlfriend Camila Cabello "looked like zombies" during a bizarre walk in Florida in the early days of the coronavirus lockdown.

The pair enjoyed an extremely leisurely stroll around a neighbourhood in Miami in front of multiple paparazzi photographers in March, with video footage of the slow trot going viral on social media.

Discussing the incident on Sirius FM today, Mendes said: "There's this one video of Camila and I, and we're like, walking down the street really slow. We almost look like zombies from The Walking Dead.

"And we're like, really - and everyone's like, 'What the heck is going on with them? Are they on drugs?' And I was like, it's funny because in that moment we were just, pretty overwhelmed by the world.

"And we were like, 'Oh, man. This is a really hard time. This is scary for everyone.' And you know, we were just like, 'Let's just walk slow and kind of just meditate and be chill.'

"It was this really peaceful moment between us, but it's just so funny to see that, watching that video back. We were dying laughing because we literally looked like zombies."

Mendes released his new single 'Wonder' today, with an album of the same name following in December.
