Melissa Rivers: 'My mother would have loved coronavirus masks'

Melissa Rivers explains how she believes her late mother Joan Rivers would have coped with the coronavirus crisis.

Melissa Rivers has said that her late mother Joan Rivers would have enjoyed the fashion aspect of the coronavirus pandemic.

The legendary stand-up comedian died in 2014 at the age of 81 after a routine minor throat procedure went horribly wrong.

Rivers had a notoriously indefatigable spirit and, speaking to the Behind The Velvet Rope podcast, Melissa speculated that she would have found the positive from the sad situation of COVID-19.

"Oh, she would be happy," she revealed. "Think of all - it hides a multitude of flaws.

"She would have been very happy because that meant she only had to do her eye makeup."

Earlier this month Melissa revealed that previously-unreleased material from her mother's stand-up routines will be made available in 2021.
