Kanye West 'in throes of a serious bipolar episode'

Kanye West allegedly sparks concerns that he is in the middle of "a serious bout" of bipolar disorder.

US rapper Kanye West has reportedly sparked worries for his health following his recent comments in the media.

The 43-year-old, who suffers from bipolar disorder, announced his surprise candidacy for the US Presidency on Independence Day before giving an interview with Forbes in which he declared that a potential coronavirus vaccine is "the mark of the beast".

According to TMZ, West suffers from a "serious bout with his bipolar disorder, usually once a year... and our sources say Kanye's in the midst of one now".

The US publication alleges that West's family are concerned but believe that he will stabilise, as he has done previously.

In his interview with Forbes, West also renounced his support for President Donald Trump, revealed that he will be running for the Presidency on the ticket of a new party called 'The Birthday Party' and declared that he would run the White House based on "the framework of Wakanda".
