'Friday' singer Rebecca Black comes out as "queer"

Rebecca Black, singer of the 2011 hit 'Friday', reveals that she is a "queer" woman.

Rebecca Black, best known for her 2011 viral hit 'Friday', has revealed that she is a "queer" woman.

The 22-year-old revealed on a podcast that she had recently been in a relationship with a woman and was still "in the process" of figuring out her sexuality.

"I made a conscious decision to not, like, 'come out'," she told the Dating Straight show. "People started asking and I stopped not responding. I'm still in the process, it feels like.

"Every day is different, it's something that over the past few years I've obviously been having a lot of conversations with myself about.

"To me, the word 'queer' feels really nice. I have dated a lot of different types of people, and I just don't really know what the future holds. Some days, I feel a little more on the 'gay' side than others."

After the success of 'Friday', Black went on to release follow-up single 'Saturday' and also appeared in the video for Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)'.
