Food Network drops series after winner charged with child murder

Food Network removes season 20 of Worst Cooks In America from its website and on-demand services after winner Ariel Robinson is charged with child murder.

The Food Network in the US has dropped the most recent season of Worst Cooks In America after its winner was charged with murdering a child.

Ariel Robinson, 29, and her husband Jerry Robinson, 34, were charged with the horrific crime by police in South Carolina on Tuesday following the death of their three-year-old adopted daughter.

An autopsy concluded that the child had died as a result of "multiple blunt force injuries" on January 14.

Worst Cooks In America sees bad cooks mentored by celebrity chefs and Robinson was named the winner of the $25,000 prize in the 20th season of the show, which was broadcast last summer.

According to Deadline, the season in question has now been removed from Food Network's website, Discovery+, Hulu and YouTube.

The network has yet to comment on Robinson's arrest.
