Brooklyn Beckham announces engagement

David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn confirms his engagement to Nicola Peltz after nine months of dating.

Brooklyn Beckham has confirmed that he has got engaged to girlfriend Nicola Peltz after just nine months of dating.

The 21-year-old - the eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham - met the actress, 25, last year and they have embarked upon a whirlwind romance, spending the last few months in coronavirus lockdown together in New York.

Announcing their engagement on Instagram, Brooklyn revealed: "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby xx"

The post was accompanied by a picture taken by Brooklyn's young sister Harper which showed the pair kissing with Nicola's ring on show.

"You've made me the luckiest girl in the world," Nicola wrote on her own Instagram account. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you harper for this pic."

Brooklyn has previously dated Kick-Ass star Chloe Grace Moretz and French singer Sonia Ben Ammar.
