Spice Girls could reportedly be tempted to reunite as a five-piece for The Queen's jubilee celebrations in June.

Spice Girls could reform as a five-piece for The Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations this summer, according to a report.

The best-selling girl group of all time reunited for a limited tour of the UK and Ireland in 2019, albeit without Victoria Beckham, who cited work commitments with her fashion business as the reason for not taking part.

The girls last performed as a five at the London Olympics in 2012, but according to The Sun, they could now be tempted to come back together for a huge gig on June 4 which will honour The Queen's record-breaking 70 years on the throne.

"BBC bosses are determined to put on a show to remember and what band is more iconic than the Spice Girls?" a source told the newspaper.

"The invitation has been made and it's now in the hands of the girls.

"It's no secret they regret turning down a similar opportunity for the Diamond Jubilee and they all have a deep respect for the Royal Family and the Queen."

The gig falls during an extended bank holiday weekend of celebrations which runs from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.
