MasterChef winner Eddie Scott secures a job working in Gordon Ramsay's Chelsea restaurant.

Reigning MasterChef champion Eddie Scott has revealed that he has a new job doing work experience for Gordon Ramsay.

In May the 31-year-old was crowned winner of the 2022 series, after which he quit his job as a marine pilot to pursue a career in the food industry.

Scott met Ramsay during a challenge in the penultimate episode of this year's show and decided to use that connection to land a job at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea.

"I approached him, because we'd done some filming there so I thought it would be a great place to work," Scott told The Sun.

"I asked them if there would be any possibility of getting some work experience. I get £10 an hour, and I'll be there for three months.

"Normally you don't get paid for these things, and people go all around the world to work with great chefs. I get a lunch break as well – the conditions are good."

Ramsay has strong connections with the MasterChef franchise, hosting the US version of the show and appearing regularly as a guest on the UK and Australian versions.
