John Krasinski is said to have held talks with Marvel Studios about "a multitude of projects".

John Krasinski has reportedly held talks with Marvel Studios in recent weeks, fuelling speculation that he could be set for a part in the superhero franchise.

The 40-year-old, best known for playing Jim Halpert in The Office, has forged out a successful career on the big screen - both as an actor and a director - over the last few years.

According to the Geeks WorldWide website, Krasinski has held video meetings with executives at Marvel during the coronavirus lockdown "over a multitude of projects".

The publication is unclear whether the discussions are for Krasinski to appear in front of the camera or have a role behind it, although previous speculation has linked him with the upcoming Young Avengers project.

Another possibility is a fresh reboot of Fantastic Four, with Marvel parent company Disney now owning the rights to the franchise after their acquisition of Fox last year.
