Disney+ sets release date for new MCU TV series WandaVision

Disney+ confirms January 15 as the release date for its new MCU series WandaVision.

Disney+ has revealed that WandaVision will be released on the service on January 15, 2021.

The new six-episode TV spinoff from the MCU will feature Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany in their roles of Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Vision in a story set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

In the show, the pair are living "an ideal suburban life" in the town of Westview but as time goes by they become increasingly suspicious of their surroundings.

WandaVision will serve as the opening series in Marvel's Phase Four and will set up the events for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, due for release in March 2022.
