Nikita and Ant got involved in a blazing row on the first night of their honeymoon on Married At First Sight UK.

After meeting for the first time on their wedding day, the couple jetted off to Mexico to get to know each other better - and it didn't take long for cracks to show.

Ant appeared to grow tired of Nikita's frequent requests for compliments about her body and when she explained to him that it was just "Northern banter", he disagreed.

Later, the row escalated in their apartment, prompting Nikita to see red and throw a plastic cup at her new husband before storming out.

"You're a little freak!" she shouted at him. "Go get your brows waxed and have a sunbed, you divvy ****."

After spending the night apart, the pair had a clear-the-air chat on the beach and found a connection over losing loved ones, with Ant revealing that he lost his mother when he was a child and Nikita talking about her grandmother, who passed away just last year.

"I feel like a huge weight's been lifted off my shoulders after we've had that conversation," Nikita said afterwards. "I'm excited to see how things go over the next few weeks."

Married At First Sight UK continues Thursday at 9pm on E4.
