Zara McDermott quits Made In Chelsea

Zara McDermott reveals that she has left the cast of Made In Chelsea.

Zara McDermott has revealed that she has quit Made In Chelsea after growing tired of reality TV.

The former Love Island star, 24, first appeared on the show in late 2019 when she began dating long-serving cast member Sam Thompson and was one of the main characters in the last series as she tried to win him back after cheating on him.

Since that series aired, McDermott has recalled her experience of being the victim of revenge porn for a new one-off BBC Three documentary and in the process of making the programme, she has decided to leave the E4 show.

"I've left. Sam's still in," she told The Sun.

"I would like to do more documentaries. I'm bursting with ideas. I think I surprised myself - I was obviously nervous, a year ago. I enjoyed that gratification of helping people.

"That's my goal for this year and next year. No more reality TV, it's hard on the soul."

Zara McDermott: Revenge Porn is released on BBC Three on Tuesday morning, while the new series of Made In Chelsea starts next month on E4.
