Conservative MP Theresa Villiers has praised her colleague Matt Hancock after he reached the final of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former health secretary entered the ITV reality show almost three weeks ago and is now competing for the title of 'King of the Jungle' in tonight's show, which will see him battle with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner and Lionesses star Jill Scott.

Hancock - the MP for West Suffolk - drew much criticism for his decision to take part in the show at a time when parliament has been sitting, but Villiers says that she has been impressed by how he has carried himself.

"He's done fantastically well. I've certainly been voting for him and I wish him well with the final," she told Sophy Ridge on Sunday.

"He's shown incredible resilience and bravery going through those tasks. And people can see him for, you know, the engaging, and, you know, and... sort of... and great human being that he is."

The final of I'm A Celebrity airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
