Producers on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! are reportedly itching to have a drag queen appear on this year's series.

Producers on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! are reportedly looking to feature a famous drag queen among this year's campmates.

With the show due to start on ITV in mid-November, the lineup is currently in the process of being finalised, with most of those taking part already thought to have signed up.

According to The Sun, execs have noted the success of RuPaul's Drag Race UK for the BBC and are considering casting one of the show's stars, with the likes of Cheryl Hole and Bimini Bon-Boulash supposedly in the frame.

"Casting directors want the most diverse I'm A Celeb lineup possible," a show source revealed.

"They're keen to sign drag queens. They have big fanbases who would follow them to I'm A Celeb. A few names have been floated already.

"Of course, they won't be able to put on full makeup and will have to wear a uniform like the other campmates, but the addition will spice up the show. Lots of drag queens would love to do it."

Once again this year's I'm A Celebrity is being held at Gwrych Castle in Wales rather than the Australian jungle due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
