I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! reportedly signs up Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson for this year's series.

Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson has reportedly joined the lineup for the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 47-year-old, who has played Steve McDonald on the soap since 1989, would be appearing one year after his on-screen mother Beverley Callard's stint on the show.

Should he appear, then Gregson would also be in the same lineup as EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt, who is thought to have also signed on the dotted line.

"To have both Simon and Adam on this series is a real coup. Bosses think they'll provide some real comedy moments together," a show insider told The Sun.

"Bosses know Corrie fans will get right behind him. Everyone knows Simon as Steve but now they'll get to see a completely different side of him for the first time.

"Simon has previously shunned all reality shows and he has turned down I'm A Celeb a number of times before.

"But now his children are older, Simon started to think the timing was right.

"And after the show was moved from Australia to Wales it made it easier for him to commit."

The new series gets underway in Wales next month.
