I'm A Celebrity: Who is Ruthie Henshall?

Get to know Ruthie Henshall, a rumoured contestant on the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Ruthie Henshall is thought to be among the contestants in the lineup for this year's Wales-based series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 53-year-old is an acclaimed veteran of the stage but is one of the lesser-known campmates in the eyes of the wider general public, and with that in mind, we profile the five-time Olivier Award nominee.

A classic triple-threat, Henshall is an established singer, actress and dancer who made her West End debut in 1987 in Cats.

She went on to have parts in Crazy For You, She Loves Me - for which she won the best actress Olivier - and the role of Roxie Hart in the London revival of Chicago (and later the Broadway production too).

On TV, Henshall served as a judge on ITV's Dancing On Ice for two series in 2008 and 2009, while she has also guested on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

She was married to singer Tim Howar between 2004 and 2010 and they have two daughters together, Lily and Dolly.

Last year Henshall took her one-woman show, In My Life, to Australia and is planning a four-city tour of the UK and Ireland in March 2021, coronavirus permitting.
