David Joshua-Anthony joins the cast of Hollyoaks playing Andre, Vicky's half-brother.

Hollyoaks has confirmed the casting of David Joshua-Anthony as Andre, the half-brother of Vicky (Anya Lawrence).

The "charismatic" new character will arrive in the village next week, rocking up at the youth club and befriending the teens, including Vicky and Dillon (Nathaniel Dass).

Andre has the secret goal of reuniting with his estranged half-sister - but she has no idea that he even exists, leading to her getting the wrong end of the stick about his intentions.

The youngster becomes fast friends with Dillon, who offers him a roof with the Maaliks after learning about his troubled home life.

"Being welcomed into the Hollyoaks family has been amazing and I'm enjoying the process of playing Andre," said Joshua-Anthony.

"He is a kid who always thinks one step ahead of everyone else and is filled with so many thoughts and ideas. I can't wait to see what life in the village has in store for him."

Andre's debut comes in the episode streaming next Wednesday, December 6 and on E4 the following day.
