Denise van Outen and her fiancé Eddie Boxshall have reportedly signed up to appear in the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox.

The couple have been part of the Channel 4 spinoff show since it started in 2019, appearing from the sofa of their home in Essex.

"We've always loved it. It's a great show," Van Outen told the Daily Star. "It is an interesting concept but it is a giggle to make.

"I do think it was the one thing that kept people going in the lockdown.

"It was so familiar to people and the fact that other shows felt different but Gogglebox felt the same so people enjoyed watching it as it didn't change.

"It's the same this summer, there will be a lot of people who wont be going on holiday this year so there will be a lot of people who will be saying in the country for whatever reason, so it is good they have something like Gogglebox to watch."

The new series of Celebrity Gogglebox is due to begin on Friday, June 4 on Channel 4.
