Corrie legend Sally Dynevor reportedly begins ice skating training ahead of a planned appearance in the lineup for Dancing On Ice 2022.

Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor has reportedly signed up to be a contestant on next year's Dancing On Ice.

The 58-year-old - mother of breakout Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor - has been playing Sally Metcalfe on the cobbles for more than 35 years.

According to The Sun, the actress is a certainty for next year's DOI and has already started training, having been spotted at ice rinks multiple times in recent weeks.

"ITV have been keen to get Sally on the ice for a number of years and she has tried out in the past, but they haven't been able to make it work," an insider told the newspaper.

"She's finally ready to do it now though and is already taking it very seriously and has been hitting the ice rink most Sundays.

"Sally is one of Corrie's best loved stars, her daughter Phoebe is also now a household name so the timing couldn't be better."

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January, with the lineup due to be revealed in the coming weeks.
