The Royal Mail has launched a special set of Coronation Street stamps to mark the soap's 60th anniversary.

The ITV show reaches the important milestone this December and to celebrate, Royal Mail is releasing eight themed stamps depicting some of the soap's most iconic characters and quotes.

Philip Parker, head of stamp strategy at Royal Mail, said: "For six decades Coronation Street's fans have witnessed the unfolding lives of its residents, and shared their sorrows and laughter.

"We celebrate the nation's best-known street with stamps showing some of its unforgettable characters."

Special stamp sets are available from May 28 for £14.20.
