Harriet Bibby suggests there may be more than meets the eye with Mike and Esther in Coronation Street.

Coronation Street star Harriet Bibby has suggested that her character Summer may be wise to be wary of Mike (Tom Lorcan) and Esther Hargrave (Vanessa Hehir).

The couple are unable to have children of their own naturally and attempted to adopt Summer's baby with Aaron (James Craven) before she suffered a miscarriage.

They have since offered her money to become a surrogate for them instead, but fans have grown suspicious of their true motives.

"There is a few twists and turns in the storyline with Mike and Esther," Bibby told The Sun. "There are so moments where there might be a bit of doubt creeping in or a bit of suspicion...

"Anyone can be dangerous on this street - you don't know who to trust, really."

Bibby's comments come after Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Summer's guardian Billy, described Mike and Esther as "a little bit sinister".
