Ex-Hollyoaks star Calum Lill joins Coronation Street playing a potential new love interest for Dee-Dee.

Former Hollyoaks star Calum Lill has joined Coronation Street as a potential new love interest for Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown).

The actor starred as PC Smith in the Chester-based soap in 2021 for a storyline that saw his colleague PC George Kiss (Callum Kerr) murdered by Sally (Annie Wallace).

In Corrie he will play Joel Deering, a duty solicitor who helps Lauren (Cait Fitton) after she gets arrested for criminal damage in next week's episodes.

"Calum's been filming for a few weeks and his character couldn't be more different from PC Smith on Hollyoaks," a source told The Sun.

"He'll be on screen next week as part of Dee-Dee's new storyline."

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
