Sky inks deal with StudioCanal for Sky Cinema

Sky signs a deal with European film studio StudioCanal to bring upcoming releases and library content to Sky Cinema.

Sky has announced a deal with French movie company StudioCanal to make upcoming releases and library content available through Sky Cinema.

The agreement means that films released by the studio from January 2021 will make their way to Sky following theatrical release, with upcoming highlights including Gunpowder Milkshake, The Last Letter From Your Lover and Oscars contender Supernova.

Archive movies to be made available include both Paddington films, A Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, The Hurt Locker, The Imitation Game, Legend and Logan Lucky.

"We are delighted to be bringing our exciting upcoming lineup of films and the glories of the StudioCanal catalogue to the fantastic and ever evolving Sky platform," said Alex Hamilton, CEO of StudioCanal UK.

"We look forward to a great collaboration together over the coming months and beyond."

Sky and StudioCanal recently worked together on the original films The Secret Garden and Blithe Spirit.
