Former Loose Women star Saira Khan is to co-host the GB News breakfast show for two days this week.

The 52-year-old will fill in for Isabel Webster alongside Eamonn Holmes - her former ITV daytime co-star - on Monday and Tuesday.

Posting on Instagram, she revealed: "Be careful what you wish for!! I've always wanted to be a news anchor and now I've got the opportunity to work with award winning broadcaster and king of news @eamonnholmes on @gbnewsonline.

"I'm covering @isabelwebstertv for just two days, Monday, Tuesday, next week - I'm absolutely nervous and feeling abit sick just thinking about it 😭- but doing things out of my comfort zone is good for me.

"@isabelwebstertv @eamonnholmes make it look so easy - seamless from one news item to the next, flawless transitions between autocue to ad-lib and from light to shade!

"I'll either sink or swim - but at least I can say I had ago!"

Breakfast airs on GB News from 6am to 9.30am.
