Channel 4 and Sky announce a new deal which will see more Channel 4 content from All 4 made available to Sky customers.

Channel 4 and Sky have announced an extension to their long-running partnership for content and commercial collaboration.

As a result of the new agreement, more on-demand Channel 4 content will be available to Sky customers and there will be "further and deeper integration of All 4 into all of Sky's existing and future TV products".

A press release announcing the deal stops short of saying that the All 4 app itself will be added to Sky Q's service, but does indicate that certain content available through All 4 - including platform exclusives and the availability of complete series before their linear broadcast - will become available.

"We know how much Sky customers love Channel 4's content so it's great that we've secured an extension, and expansion, to our existing agreement," said Sky chief executive Stephen van Rooyen.

"This brings Sky customers more of what they want and supports Channel 4 to deliver on their key priorities, all while providing both parties with long-term confidence in the strategic partnership.

"The expansion of Channel 4's content, alongside Sky's existing partnerships, and the impressive slate of Sky Originals planned for this year, makes it even easier for Sky customers to access everything they love, in one place."

As part of the deal, Channel 4 will also get the option to make further use of new technologies developed by Sky which allow different advertising to be shown to different customers.
