A new Britain's Got Talent spinoff show called BGT Reacts is to accompany the new series on ITVX.

A new Britain's Got Talent spinoff show called BGT Reacts will accompany the upcoming new series on ITVX, it has been announced.

The weekly 15-minute show will adopt the popular YouTube 'reacts' format in which content creators and influencers film themselves reacting to clips or shows.

The pool of BGT Reacts content creators will be joined during the series by some notable BGT acts from previous years as well as surprise celebrities.

"As well as being one of the favourite parts of the series for traditional linear viewers, we know that the auditions generate a huge social footprint online each series," said Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's head of entertainment commissioning.

"We can't wait to amplify this viewer engagement through brand new ITVX series BGT Reacts, working with some of the UK's most successful influencers and content creators - all big fans of Britain's Got Talent."

The news comes five years after the long-running ITV2 spinoff show Britain's Got More Talent was axed in order to prioritise online content.

Britain's Got Talent returns to ITV1 at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 20, with the first episode of BGT Reacts dropping on ITVX immediately afterwards.
