Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley says that he is confident that he will return for the show's revival on ITV2 in 2023.

Big Brother's iconic narrator Marcus Bentley has revealed that he has had discussions about returning to the show.

The Geordie voiceover artist is the only ever-present in the show's history, having narrated the very first episode in 2000 all the way through to the final episode on Channel 5 in 2018.

Earlier this week ITV announced that it will revive the programme for a new six-week run on ITV2 and ITVX in 2023 and although Bentley has not yet been confirmed as returning, he says that he is confident he will be back.

"I'm not confirmed. It's very early days. I think it sounds like I am," he told the Radio Times.

"I'm getting calls from [producers] and they're going to keep me updated. But they haven't chosen anything.

"So it's all up in the air. Nothing's been decided and I think it sounds like ITV just wanted to put this [announcement] out at the end of Love Island but I'm just absolutely delighted."

A host has also yet to be confirmed, with rumours suggesting that Mo Gilligan is currently favourite for the role.
