Heavy D, known for Celebrity Big Brother and Arsenal Fan TV, dies at the age of 47.

Celebrity Big Brother and Arsenal Fan TV star Heavy D has died at the age of 47, it has been confirmed.

The personality - real name Colin Newell - first found fame on the UK version of the TV show Storage Hunters and then had a stint on the 2016 edition of Celeb BB, where he was known for his trademark "Boom!" catchphrase.

The cause of Heavy D's death is currently unknown, although The Sun reports that he had been missing for several days prior to "being found dead" earlier this week.

A statement from Arsenal Fan TV, where he was a regular guest, said: "We are shocked to hear the sad news that Heavy D has passed away. Our condolences go to his family at this very sad time."

The star's agent Sue Sheridan confirmed: "Medics are investigating the exact cause of death.

"Colin was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was a friendly guy who had time for everybody he will be missed by those who loved him.

"We ask the public to respect the privacy of the family at this time."

He is survived by two children.
