Derrick Rose still expects "ups and downs"

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose admits that he is still expecting "ups and downs" as he recovers from a fractured eye socket.

Derrick Rose has said that he is still expecting "ups and downs" as he continues to recover from a fractured eye socket.

The Chicago Bulls point guard sustained the injury to the orbital bone in pre-season, forcing him to wear a protective mask at the start of the 2015-16 NBA season.

After scoring 29 points in the 104-98 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rose told ESPN:

"No relief, because I know it's a process. As long as I know it's a process, there's going to be ups and downs. Just because there's a high right now, it's not a relief. I still have to work and get the most out of every day.

"I'm just getting reps up. After I got hit, I had two weeks where I couldn't do anything. I couldn't get my blood pressure up. You just have to sit in the house all day. You can't argue, you can't do anything. You just had to chill."

The Bulls face the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.
