Tarkenton approves of Manziel

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Fran Tarkenton has stated that he would love his old side to pick up college star Johnny Manziel when the NFL Draft rolls around in the spring.

On Wednesday, Manziel <a href="/american-football/texas-am-aggies/news/manziel-declares-for-nfl-draft_129169.html">announced</a> his decision to declare for the Draft, sacrificing his option of another year with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Hall of Famer Tarkenton - who had two spells with the Vikings in the '60s and '70s - admitted that Manziel could be just what the team needs to move forward.
