Half-Time Report: Tony Romo return sparks Dallas Cowboys into lead against Miami Dolphins

Tony Romo fires his first touchdown pass since week two of the season following his return from injury to hand the Dallas Cowboys a 14-7 lead over the Miami Dolphins.

The Dallas Cowboys are holding a 14-7 lead at the break in their NFL clash against the Miami Dolphins.

The Cowboys were boosted by the return of quarterback Tony Romo following a nine-week layoff with a shoulder injury, but he could not spark his offense into life in the first quarter as both teams struggled to move the ball.

Romo did find a rhythm when he managed to complete a series of passes to guide his side within striking distance of the endzone, but he saw his attempted throw to Dez Bryant intercepted at the goalline by Brent Grimes.

However, Dallas were to take the lead when Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was intercepted by Rolando McClain on the 12-yard line and the linebacker was able to stroll into the endzone to record the touchdown.

Romo notched his first touchdown strike since week two of the season when he launched the ball deep down the sideline for Terrance Williams to make the catch for a 31-yard score.

However, Miami responded just before the break when Tannehill drove his team to the redzone before he ran to the side to fire the ball into the hands of the sliding Jordan Cameron.
